When you join us at Kangaroo Ground Adult Riding Club, you will not only meet a whole heap of new friends (both two and four legged), you will also enjoy the benefits of our membership of the Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria.
We enjoy the stability of fantastic club grounds, great instructors and a membership base with a wide range of interests. The first thing you will notice is the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where everyone, regardless of their experience, their equestrian interest or their riding level is welcomed. Currently we have around 50 members, many of whom attend our mid-week rallies. In fact our Thursday rallies usually out number the Sunday numbers.

How many groups are there at a rally?
Group lessons are kept to a manageable number by a team of dedicated Rally Coordinators, so that each rider can get full enjoyment from their lesson. We are lucky enough to have numerous fiding areas, so there can be at least 4 or 5 groups at any one time.What do my fees entitle me to?
Your membership fee entitles you to ride at rallies, compete with other HRCAV clubs in a wide range of events, attend special clinics and be covered under the excellent Insurance scheme of the HRCAV. Membership fees ARE NOT REFUNDABLE unless there are exceptional circumstances. Application for a refund must be made to the committee.

Your fee includes 1 Included/pre-paid Sunday Rally Session per month and 1 included/pre-paid Thursday Rally Session per month. All other rally attendances are charged a $20 capping fee.
NOTE: YOU MUST BOOK FOR EACH RALLY YOU WISH TO ATTEND NO LATER THAN THE TUESDAY OF THE WEEK BEFORE.
Our Fees
Our fees are a combination of Club, HRCAV, Insurance and Pony Club Levy and are designed to be all inclusive. However special clinics, events and competitions as well as social events (riding and non-riding) are not covered by the Membership Fee.The fees outlined below are for a FULL membership year. Pro-rata membership is available based on joining date – please contact us to confirm fee if you are joining the club after the first 3 months. The membership form contains the full details of our fees. You have the choice of joining for either Thursday or Sunday Rallies, or better still, you can join for both. Just make sure to nominate your choice on the membership form.

Our Financial Year
Our financial year is aligned with that of the HRCAV and runs from 1st November – 31st October each year. Membership fees are due by the end of October.
ProRata
- ProRata is available on both our fees and that of the HRCAV.
- ProRata for our fees is available after 6 months into the membership year.
- HRCAV Fees are reduced at the discretion of the HRCAV. For the year 2011, prorata HRCAV fees are available after August 1st.

Refunds
Refunds are not generally available unless there are EXCEPTIONAL circumstances, and at the discretion of the current KGARC Committee.
